I'm Emily LaPorte, owner and photographer here at Rose & Lily Photography. I am a wife, mom to 2, preschool teacher, reader, hiker, and more! I founded Rose & Lily Photography in February of 2023 and have only grown in my passion for sharing the wonders of nature from my view behind my lens.

My photography is rooted in a deep reverence for the natural world. I am drawn to the delicate details—a single petal, a fleeting beam of light—and the quiet strength found in landscapes, forests, water, and open skies. Through my photography I aim to honor both the subtle and the bold expressions of nature. I believe that beauty exists in the smallest moments and that peace can be found in the stillness of wild places. My mission is to create imagery that not only preserves these moments, but invites others to slow down, look closer, and reconnect with the natural rhythms that ground us all.

Why Rose & Lily?

My children are everything to me, and when I started this company, I was so inspired by them and by capturing every tiny moment with them that I could. They continue to be a part of this business-they help me in the garden, we go out together to find flowers to photograph, I teach them how to use my camera, and then we all go through photos together to decide on our favorites. They are such an inspiration to me and the reason why I continue to pursue my passions. My daughter’s birth flower is a rose, and my son’s is lily-of-the-valley. I thought of them when deciding on what to name my company, and Rose & Lily was created from that inspiration.
